For years, Ducci was a counter. A storefront people drove across Montréal for — to size a bracelet, to argue pleasantly about dials, to look at a diamond in daylight before deciding anything. That kind of retail runs on one thing: a person behind the counter who actually knows the stock.
When the storefront closed and the house moved online, we had to decide what to carry forward. The cases came with us. The authorized accounts came with us. And the part that mattered most — the person who knows the stock — came too. That’s what the private appointment is: the old counter, kept, minus the parking.
